Last Friday was my first day of duty at AYG. Woke up at like 4.45am and went down to Swissotel at like 6.30am. When I came out from Cityhall MRT, I was like finding how to go to Swisshotel. I didn't know at all can. I only know it is sort of above Raffles City but I don't know how to get there. LOL. In the end, I saw the shopping centre just open, so I followed the signs inside to find my way. When I reach, luckily got people I know there, then I just wait there till madm arrive.

Duty was sort of fun at the start lah. Sit infront of the thermal scanner for the whole time, screening the people who enters the location. After doing sometime, was getting abit sian and tired liao. But no choice lah, just continued doing until duty ends. I only did the morning shift cause got to attend Selene's concert in the evening time. Went home after shift ended to rest.

Met up with Daryl before going to the concert venue. We spent like quite long finding the place. We only know it is YMA and it is at Waterloo Street but how to get there and stuff, we got like totally no idea. We walked from Cityhall MRT to Singapore Art Museum which was also damn far cause we walked one round. LOL. In the end, after following Laoren's direction of finding the yellow light, which we couldn't really find, we still managed to got to the place. Haha. The concert was quite interesting. I think this is one of the best concerts I have been to. Everytime I go to a concert, I will always fall asleep during the first half. But this time, I was awake for the whole thing. Haha. Not that those concerts that I went to was lousy but because I don't really enjoy those competition pieces which they sing. This concert, it was a mix of songs which I think was quite good. It sort of captures people's attention when it is getting boring. Haha. This time didn't went out after concert, cause Selene's parents were there to fetch her home. So Laoren, Daryl and I went to Raffles City to get something to drink and maunch on. Laoren and Daryl left for home which I went back to Swissotel to look for the AYG people.

After meeting up with them, we walked to Pan Pacific Hotel. We were given rooms to stay in because we got to do duty quite early in the morning. The people who stayed in were Firdaus, Gabriel, Kuan Hou and me. We really enjoyed ourselves in the night. LOL. That sounds wrong. The room facilities were superb man. We were like watching Power Rangers for the whole night. Haha. And there were many funny things which happened too.

Next morning, all of us almost couldn't wake up. Cause I think the longest time we slept was only about 2 hours? LOL. We were suppose to leave the room by 5am but in the end, we only woke up at 5am. So I quickly got out of bed, wash up and left for duty place with Gabriel while Firdaus and Kuan Hou stayed behind for awhile to pack up the mess. Haha. The same duties again lah. I think it was alittle bit better cause I know more people le and I started to talk more to the secondary school kids. LOL. Was damn tired for the whole day due to the lack of sleep at night. Haha. Still managed to pull through until the end although I dozed off a few times during duty. We ended duty around 10pm and my parent came to pick me up. I KO-ed in the car sia. Really too tired le.

Still woke up early to go to church the next morning. Didn't know that got to take temperature de sia. It was like the duty that I need to do at AYG. Haha. Before enter, the wardens will take your temperature and then issue you with a sticker. After mass and practice, went down to 401 as usually. This time didn't stay for long lah, just talk awhile then all go off le. Cause I was already very tired, need to go home rest and also the next day MST start already. Slept through the whole afternoon and started studying for E Tech in the evening. I think I did not bad. Spent like 3 hours studying. Haha. Learned quite a lot also. Cause I usually don't listen in class de. LOL. Slept around 10pm.

First day of MST. Morning I was still quite nervous, started to study. Then went to school, saw kG and chit-chatted with him for awhile. After that, proceeded up to the examination room. I think I did fairly well for the paper bah. My answers all tally with my classmates answers. Even those which I studies myself, also correct. Haha.

Today's paper was I think quit bad. I only managed to correctly answered a few questions and the rest I just agar agar whack. I hope can get correct lah. For those that I whack, of cause I got think through de lah. Left the room after 1 hour of the 1.5 hours paper. Really couldn't think of what to write le, so no point I sit inside and waste time also.

Tomorrow got no paper, but got AYG duty. Haha. I signed up for the whole say sia. Don't know wheather later got time to study for Thursday's C Prog test. But who cares, just enjoy myself first. Haha.

Monday and Tuesday, went to help Uncle Raymond in St. Gabriel's Primary School's Student Care. We did it as part of the community project that we need to do for school. It was quite a new experience. Need to take care of the primary school kids for everything sia. Haha. From study time to playing, then eating and bathing. I think if someone got weak heart go and work there, will die de lor. They are really a bunch of don't understand instructions kids. But I guess, this the phase where everyone got to go through in life.

Then the past 2 days, was at Sembawang Sea Training Centre for the 1 Star Kayaking Course. I didn't know the course was so short. We just took like 1.5 days to complete everything, including the assessment. But I think it was because the number of people taking was small lah. We only had 4 trainees. Haha. Learn and refresh all the stuffed that was taught to me before. I totally forgotten what I learn last time lah, so it was more of a lesson for me. Haha. The last time I kayak was last year already, then now I kayak don't know when is the next time i'm going to go into sea again. But now I finally got my 1 Star certification. YEAH!! Haha.

Now, I will try to blog as often as possible. Haha.

Last night went out with the STAC Basses for outing, this time was to Lau Pa Sat. Wanted to eat at the Satay Club but when we reached there, the guy told us that it started drizziling so asked us to stay inside. So we believed him and stayed inside. Ordered all the food from his stall and started to eat. I think the food wasn't up to standard. Still cannot compare to the food we ate at Chomp Chomp. And the oh luah, I tell you, it sucks. It is just plain egg with oyster. Not the normal ones we eat with starch. That's why when we ate halfway, we like felt got something missing. Haha.

After all our food adventure inside, we decided to walk outside to look for teh tarik cause Daryl said that there is a stall outside quite famous de. When we walk out, we realise that we got cheated lah. There wasn't any drizzle or rain at all outside. From the looks of the people sitting outside can tell liao lor. This time we sat down but didn't order anymore satay, cause we already ate inside. In the end, after walking around to see the stalls, we ordered chicken wings and another plate of stingray. Haha. Cause inside, we ordered the malay stall, now we come out and try the chinese stall. And in the end, we found Helen. LOL. Only the people who went will understand. Haha.

Talk for awhile, most of the stuff about choir. Manage to think of a few plans and events that we MAY consider doing. Haha. Need to see how lah. We left about 9.35pm and made our way home. Next stop for Bass outing will be in Little India. Haha.

Alright, just finish a very long week of camp and courses. Almost 10 day consecutive of staying out.

Started off with Specialist course on 1 June, my first “big” camp. At first, I was supposed to be PC for platoon 6 but after asking for a change of post because I won’t be around for the last day, I was change to become S1. It was also because S1 got to be done by the night itself and the understudy wasn’t there, so I just exchange place lor. Haha. First time we had to go over to camp ourselves. We took MRT to Joo Koon, then walk over to SDC cause the meeting area was there. Started off with attendance taking then cadets were move bus by bus to Pasir Lebar Camp.

The whole first day, I was super stressed up. I didn’t know doing S1 was so much work. I think I was the first one can, I got to call all COs whose cadets are in camp to confirm manpower. My phone bills will confirm go burst de. I spent like 3 hours doing so can. After that, there was so many problems that came out from the cadets side, really can kill them lah. Because of some cadets, our strength on the nominal roll kept on changing. It was only finalize I think on the end of the second day. Many other problems surfaced, but it is not convenient to mention any of them. I also didn’t stay for the last day, cause got tests in school. And I wasn’t really feeling well after camp too.

After that, I rested for about 13hours? Haha. Friday was normal day in school, pon the makeup lesson for C Programming. Anyway, also do nothing de. Just go there and do past year paper? LOL. Then evening time, went back to Montfort for Leaders’ Camp. When I reach there, saw all the instructors in No.4, only I one person in civilian, so I paiseh lah, went back home to change also. Haha. Lucky uniform already dry from all the airing in the day. I won’t talk about the whole camp, cause I didn’t attend everything. But this time, it is sort of a different feel when attending liao. Cause now attending as an old boy/ cadet officer, so it is of different status lah. You will see the stuff that you did as a cadet once and sometimes it really brings back memories.

I left Pulau Ubin on the second day of camp, cause Sunday got to go church. Sunday, went to church as usual. Then after everything, went over to Hougang Mall. Sort of “wasted” time there until 3pm then went home. Haha. We had fun lah, going around inside and outside of Hougang Mall, laughing and playing. And also, again we went to our favorite eat place, Café Cartel. Spent quite some time inside there also. I think we played quite a lot inside also. Haha. Before we left, went to buy Uncle Sam’s birthday present. Think so long for what to buy, finally decided on pen. Those that you use for work de. We buy got brand de ok, Parker sia. Haha. Then we went down to the second level to do carving on it. I would say, it was a fun day. LOL.

The next three days, was Basic PDS Course. It has really been some time since I thought PDS le, so I also need time to refresh on all my drills. I was a bit luckily during the course, I got only 4 trainees under me while the HCI trainers got 11 cadets each under them. But my trainees were all cadet officers. I tell you, it is really difficult to teach. I want to go down hard, but just very difficult for me to do it. They kept on playing and stuff, I don’t know if they really learn anything from the 3 days. I seriously don’t know what to say about them, they really throw my face to the core lah. The test that we had for the last day, I really just wanted to find a hole and hide my head. Haix.

But I think the cadets, they really put in a lot of effort. I can see from the test, although I never take them personally for the course itself. Some of their drills are really superb. But on another hand, I got to fail cadets. I really don’t want to fail them, but there isn’t any way for me to help them pass. I really crack my head but still to no avail. The whole course, I would say was sort of a success. Only that logistics and administration part for the first day.

Ok, let me blog a bit about yesterday. After piano lesson, went to East Coast Park to meet up with Secondary School friends. Really been some time since I see them le. We really had a lot of fun. Haha. Played the whole night through, most of us never sleep at all. I think of all the BBQs I went to, this is the one where I had the most fun. I laugh until my six pecs also come out lah. We were playing the thumb game for like a few rounds and the bottom line is, Montfort people always win SKY. Haha. I very lazy to blog about the whole event lah, I’m sure Clive or someone else who was there will blog about it. Haha. So look out in their blogs.
